So we discussed the quarterly revenue targets and agreed to increase marketing spend by fifteen percent.
Say it, fix it, command it.
Make your own voice commands. Pick a phrase, such as "sign off", and choose what it does: insert text, press Return or Tab, wait a moment, or insert a text shortcut, in order. Say the phrase on its own with the dictation shortcut and the steps run in the app you are typing in. Voice commands never open apps, websites or files, and they only run with Auto-paste on. They are included in your backups, and you can export them to a file and import them on another computer.
Fix and format by voice. Say "scratch that", "delete that" or "undo that" on its own to remove your last dictation from the app it was pasted into, within 2 minutes, as long as the text there has not changed. Say "spell" and then the letters to spell a word, and "cap" before a letter for a capital. Say "cap" before a word to capitalize it, "all caps" before a word to write it in capitals, "no space" to join two words, and "caps on" and "caps off" to write the words between them in capitals. On Windows, "scratch that" works in web browsers such as Edge, Chrome and Brave and in standard text boxes such as Notepad. In apps that do not let VoicePrivate read their text, you get a short note instead.
Fill blanks by voice. When a text shortcut has blanks, say "insert", the shortcut name and the values, and they go into the blanks. Field names are optional for numbers, which fill the blanks in order. Say "skip" or "next field" to leave a blank, "end fields" to go back to dictating, and "wait no" to correct a value. Blanks you do not fill stay as ___. On a Mac, the first unfilled blank is selected after the paste, in apps that show their text to macOS Accessibility.
Your vocabulary, your way.
Edit & Teach. Fix a take in the main window with Edit & teach, then click Apply & Learn. VoicePrivate counts each correction toward the word you corrected, even when it was misheard differently each time, and a word you have corrected three times joins your Personal Dictionary. The Learning section of the Personal Dictionary shows the counts, and Forget removes one.
Bring your vocabulary with you. One Import button in the Personal Dictionary reads a Dragon word list (text or XML), a plain word list, a CSV or tab separated file, an Excel workbook (.xlsx) or a VoicePrivate export. You review the terms before anything is added, and importing never removes or overwrites a term you already have.
Vocabulary sets and team packs. Group names and terms per client and switch each set on or off in the Personal Dictionary, in Settings or from the menu bar. Terms in a set that is off are not used. Save chosen sets and shortcuts as a .vppack file, share it, and import it on another computer. You preview a pack before importing it, and Remove this pack takes out everything it added.
Terms from your documents. Pick files or a folder (.txt, .md, .docx and PDF) and VoicePrivate finds names, acronyms and unusual words to add to a set. PDFs are read on both Windows and Mac. Scanned PDFs and photos of documents (png, jpg, tiff, and heic on a Mac) are read with your computer's built-in text recognition, and terms found only on a scan are marked "from a scanned page". Reading happens on your device and nothing leaves it.
Help when you need it, backup you do not have to remember.
A Help Center with videos. Help is now a full Help Center in the app: search every guide, browse by section, and see only the guides for your edition and your computer. Every feature has a step by step guide, and there is troubleshooting and a Switching from Dragon section. A small question mark next to settings and on main screens opens the guide for that feature. Guides come with the app and work offline. Short help videos play inside the app for licensed users.
Automatic backup on Windows. VoicePrivate backs up your transcriptions, dictionary, shortcuts and settings about once an hour when something changes. Backups are encrypted and go to a folder you choose, such as OneDrive, Documents or a network drive, and the last 10 are kept. The folder you pick is saved, and if a folder is refused, Settings says why. Settings, Backup shows the folder, Change, Show in Explorer, the last backup time and how many are kept. If the folder cannot be reached, Settings says so and VoicePrivate tries again every hour.
Dictated and copied text is marked private on the clipboard. On a Mac it is concealed, transient and kept off other devices through Universal Clipboard. On Windows it is kept out of clipboard history and cloud sync.
A dashboard for your team.
Contact us and we will give you a dashboard to administer all the licences for your company. The administrator signs in with a link sent to their email, so there is no account or password to set up. The dashboard shows every licence on the team and which computer uses it. If somebody leaves, release their seat or revoke their key, then issue a new key so the seat is reused by someone else.
